What a sports netting sourcing dossier gives you
A real example of preparing sports netting references. We requested technical details for two factory offers. This dossier shows the information obtained and what is still needed for a purchasing decision.
The starting point
Two references had been offered with prices. The material and weight per square meter still needed to be explicitly linked to each reference. Without those details, a buyer compares prices for products that are not fully described.
The details obtained
| Proposed reference | Declared material | Declared weight |
|---|---|---|
| Mesh 45 × 45 mm Twine 4 mm ≈ 1.77 × 1.77 in / 0.16 in | Polyester | 180 g/m² |
| Mesh 100 × 100 mm Twine 5 mm ≈ 3.94 × 3.94 in / 0.20 in | Polyester | 200 g/m² |

What this evidence establishes
The factory named the material and weight in a written table linked to the references. No independent polymer or weight test has been carried out for this dossier. These values do not describe the entire range.
The finish was also discussed
The factory stated that manual edge overlocking was possible for square-mesh polyester netting. Whether it is included in an order, its cost and how it is made must be defined in the corresponding offer.
What the buyer receives
A sheet for each reference, with the stated value, its source, its status and the questions to resolve. The buyer can then request offers against common requirements and select the checks useful for the order.
What still needs clarification before ordering
| Open point | Why the buyer needs it |
|---|---|
| Mesh measurement convention | Know exactly which opening is ordered and checked. |
| Panel and twine tolerances | Define a measurable acceptance criterion. |
| UV and mechanical performance | Link claimed performance to evidence suitable for the intended use. |
| Finish and packaging | Confirm the delivered product and the information needed for shipping. |
| Lead time and named EXW place | Complete the production and collection terms. |
This example documents work actually performed. It does not claim a delivered customer order or verified physical product conformity.
